Sky Lee is a Family Medicine trained physician who works as a hospitalist in Northern California. She also provides primary care and HIV care at One Community Health in Sacramento, CA. She is the Assistant Director of Inpatient Services for the California Bridge Program.
The California Bridge Program provides support for emergency departments and hospitals to implement evidence based medicine to treat substance use disorders throughout California. We will discuss our implementation model as well as successes and barriers. Additionally, we will review our algorithm for low barrier buprenorphine starts for both the emergency department and inpatient setting and how to trouble shoot.
