About 2018

Leading experts in the fields of cannabis-related epidemiological, biological, and policy research will present on a variety of topics highly relevant to the ever-evolving landscape of cannabis in the United States. National and state leaders will highlight the current research on use patterns and scientific evidence of the role of cannabis in the treatment of physical and psychiatric symptoms and conditions, the societal implications of marijuana prohibition and legalization, and much more. This one-day conference will include presentations, a Q&A panel discussion, and interactive dialogue.

Objectives:

  • Describe trends in medical and recreational cannabis use in the U.S., including but not limited to patterns of age, sex, race, and socioeconomic status of people who consume cannabis
  • Define the current state of scientific research the role of cannabis in the treatment of physical and psychiatric conditions
  • Describe the societal implications of marijuana prohibition and legalization and the potential impact of various drug policy reforms
